The Team Behind Chessily

Hey, I’m Marc Cressac! I grew up in the rural parts of France, later moving to Berlin for my master’s degree in engineering. Today, I am a freelance consultant in the civil engineering space. Out of boredom and the love for chess I started Chessily besides my professional work. Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn (just search for my name on Google/LinkedIn)!

My Chess-Story

I started playing my first games of chess – as so many others did – when I was a small child. My father introduced me to the game sometime around the turn of the century. Ever since then, I have been on a constant quest to improve my game. While I am by no means a pro chess player, I try my best to take you along on my chess improvement story.

Fun Fact: I have never played in a competitive tournament to this day. Ever since I can remember, I played chess on my dad’s computer, with the occasional game at a friends house. Luckily, with the rise of online chess sites like lichess.org my thirst for more chess games can be quenched easily.
